The Easy Start kit contains a seed tray with 20 individual pots pre-filled with soil, plus a sachet of Bacto. These bacteria activate the germination process and ensure your seeds come to life quickly. Because everything is already prepared, you save time and significantly increase the chance of success.

RQS Easy Start User Instructions

Measure out 1 liter of lukewarm water (approximately 25°C) and dissolve the Bacto bacteria in it. Pour the mixture into the Easy Start tray. Then, place one seed in each pre-filled hole and gently push it 5mm deep with a pencil or screwdriver. Cover the seed with some soil and place the kit in a warm place, out of direct sunlight. Keep the soil moist by checking regularly and spraying with water if necessary. Your seed will germinate within 3 to 7 days.

Repotting after germination

As soon as the seedlings are 2 to 3 cm tall, you can transplant them into their final containers. Carefully slide the seedling out of the plastic pot. Do not remove the soil around the roots, as this can damage the delicate roots. Place the entire seedling, including the soil, into your chosen growing medium, and you are ready to continue growing.

Easy Start vs Starter Kits

The Easy Start is ideal if you already have a Starter Kit, as these kits include a propagator for moisture control. However, you can also use the Easy Start independently.
