Description

Mattisson Night's rest complex tincture is a balanced mix of California poppy (Eschscholzia californica, herba), Lavender (Lavendula angustofolia, herba), Winter lime (Tilia cordata, flos) and Mulungu (Erythrina mulungu, cortex).

What is a Tincture?

A tincture is a solution of various alcohol-based herbal extracts. These herbs are extracted from, among other things, dried plants, shrubs, leaves, mushrooms, seeds, resin and flowers. All valuable substances are manufactured by infusing them in pure, organic alcohol. The alcohol ensures that the active ingredients are properly extracted from the herbs and at the same time it functions as a preservative. Finally, the tincture is sieved, after which a powerful mother tincture remains.

The advantage of a tincture over a regular supplement is that absorption is faster. A tincture is absorbed directly into the blood via the oral mucosa and therefore does not have to go through the entire digestive process. In addition, it is easier to dose in a targeted manner than with another supplement, because you can determine the amount of drops yourself.

nightcap

California poppy refers both to the herb's sleep-inducing effect and to the fact that the calyx falls off like a nightcap when the flower opens. Originally from southwestern North America, it is even the official flower symbol of the state of California. The main ingredients are alkaloids and flavenol glycosides.

Lavender

Lavendula is believed to come from the Latin word Lavere, which means to wash. Indicating the use of this herb by the Romans in their baths and soaps. In ancient times, lavender was mainly used because of its purifying properties. Originally, this herb comes from the western Mediterranean, Italy and the Balkans. The main ingredients are essential oils, tannins, bitter substances, flavonoids and triterpenes.

Small-leaved lime

Tilia is derived from the Latin 'Telum' meaning 'Spear'. It is so called because the light and flexible wood of the linden was used by the Romans to make spear handles. Originally, the herb comes from Great Britain, Denmark, Poland, southern Sweden and southern Norway. The main ingredients are mucilage, tannins, flavonoids, essential oils and pectin.
